UnionBank’s culture places a high premium on collaboration. Our unparalleled growth and achievements through the years show that it is a fool-proof way to attain success not just within the smallest units, but also throughout the entire organization. When ideas are shared, and the whole team delivers as one and works through them together — task cohesion is achieved and any goal we set in mind becomes an attainable feat.
In line with our common goal of becoming a Great Retail Bank by 2025, UnionBankers started reporting back to the major UBP workspaces last January 16, 2023 in UnionBank Plaza, UnionBank Square, and UnionBank Innovation Campus in Laguna. All three sites are available to provide flexibility for employees.
And to celebrate the return of in-person collaboration after almost 3 years, UnionBank held celebrations across all its sites dubbed as “ReUnion.”
Giant balloon arches in UnionBank colors – white and orange – welcomed UnionBankers at the lobbies, while ice cream sticks were also given away – a sweet treat before heading to the elevators going to their respective floors.
Employees also lined up for a photo opportunity together with their colleagues who they haven’t seen for a long time. ReUnion-themed placards were also a hit as UnionBankers posed with their favorite statements such as, “Glad to see U!”, “Hello again!”, “We missed U!”, “Team lunches!”, “We’re back!”, “Together finally!”, “What’s Your Baon?”, “Ubuntu 2.0”, “Count me in!”, and “Connect and Engage!”.
By the end of the day, our employee engagement FB Group “Engaged” was filled with photos of UnionBankers reuniting in their respective workplaces.
To see the workplaces buzzing with life again after 3 years of working from home was nothing short of inspiring. We are essentially enacting Ubuntu which is in our core as UnionBankers.
Being ubuntugether also gives us the opportunity to fully engage with our colleagues, and as stated by Chief Human Resource Officer Michelle Rubio, we’ll be able to seize opportunities through this and deliver exceptional value and service to our customers. We’ll be able to do more, do better, and do greater – the very essence of Magis.
