The Paspas Permit payment system ensures safety and convenience and avoids crowds during business permit renewal season at Valenzuela’s designated payment centers.
The City Government of Valenzuela yesterday announced that it has partnered with Union Bank of the Philippines in a bid to provide residents with easy online payment transactions.
Signing the Collections Services Agreement, Valenzuela City and UnionBank agreed to work together to expand the payment options available to residents for Paspas Permit transactions.
A new payment option was added as part of the recently launched integration of the zoning process, issuance of provisional sanitary permits, and online application of health certificates available with the Paspas Permit system.
UnionBank account holders can pay for their business taxes with a zero percent convenience fee easily, while non-account holders can still pay their taxes online using the payment gateway at the lowest local rate of only one percent. Taxpayers can also pay using their VISA/Mastercard credit card or debit bank accounts.
Apart from this option, taxpayers can also pay via UnionBank Online, UnionBank Business Banking and through other selected banks through the PCHC PayGate.
Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian expressed his trust in UnionBank, believing the bank is “ahead in the digital banking world,” and with the bank joining the Paspas Permit system is “perfect timing, for this coming January (2021) is the biggest tax season” in Valenzuela City.
Gatchalian reminded Valenzuelanos to “Don’t fall in line, go online!” using Paspas Permit, as the system has been completed with new enhancements to ensure safety and convenience and to avoid the convergence of people during the business permit renewal season at designated payment centers.
UnionBank is the first private bank partner of the City Government of Valenzuela.
Valenzuela City is also the bank’s first local government partner, paving the way to the norm of digitalization of transactions among local governments units.
