UnionBank’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving tech landscape is evident in its efforts to future-proof its leadership team. The 41st edition of the Leaders’ Learning Circle (LLC) is no exception, as executives from the bank and its subsidiaries gathered to gain insights from AON’s Enterprise Client Leader, Mr. Alexander Krasavin on “Navigating Change with Confidence: Building Workforce Resilience.”
The LLC, presented by UnionBank University, provides a valuable opportunity for leaders to enhance their mastery of digital transformation and innovation skills, prepare for the future by building their capabilities, and sustain tenacity among their teams.
During the event, Alexander emphasized the importance of incorporating wellbeing into a leader’s management approach stating, “As leaders, we need to articulate value in what we see as important from a wellbeing perspective.”
The LLC took place on April 25, 2023, on the 47th floor of UnionBank Plaza, with 60 attendees on-site and 340 participants joining virtually. The program covered a range of topics, including the evolving landscape of the financial services industry, the concept of great convergence, corporate wellbeing, and the adoption of sustainable work-life models. The event also served as a welcoming venue for new executives to join the UnionBank community.
The LLC kicked off with a run-down of UnionBank’s impressive achievements including 71 awards in the past year alone. The Bank also closed the first quarter of 2023 with 25 recognitions, including being ranked as Forbes’ Top 4 in the World’s Best Banks of 2023.
The Leaders also briefly acknowledged UnionBank’s successes through their peers and colleagues by telling one another, “Ubuntu proud of you, fellow leader!,” face-to-face and virtually.
Done quarterly, the Leaders’ Learning Circle reflects UnionBank’s dedication to providing its leaders with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to thrive in a constantly changing world, while also promoting a culture of resilience, empathy, and continuous learning across the organization. Ms. Michelle Rubio, head of UnionBank’s Human Resources Group, underscored its significance as “a testament to the leaders’ and the Bank’s resilience to withstand and overcome a variety of disruptions on business, technological, societal, and environmental aspects.” She highlighted that the key to surmounting these challenges is to create innovative solutions and strategies to address them.
