CitySavings Bank Launches Project U2

CitySavings Bank is taking its step towards digital transformation by practicing the agile ways of working through the launch of Project U2 (unsafe and unsound). The project gave birth to the first scrum team of CitySavings Bank.

The team consists of members from different departments from both Cebu and Ortigas offices with one Regional Operation Heads (ROH) who oversees the various branches. The team’s first project is about addressing audit findings of the bank and creating new policies for the betterment of banking practices. The appointed Project Owner is Miss Jouela Traballo, Financial Controller.

The management practices agile ways of working with strong focus on digital transformation by championing digital collaboration. The team was able to host daily scrum meetings through the use of Google Hangouts to make the team virtually connected wherever they are. With more days to complete the sprint, CSB’s scrum team became more self-organized and cross-functional.

This project is one of the many steps CSB plan to take their journey towards digital transformation further.

CitySavings Bank Employees Undergoes G-Suite Training

CitySavings Bank’s main goal is to be one of the best mass market banks in the country. They never miss out on opportunities that will build their employees’ capability to adapt and respond with the demands of digital transformation.

CitySavings is the first bank to migrate to G-Suite. This effort helps promote digital collaboration with their employees as well as being aligned with its vision to promote straightforward banking.

CSB hosted a series of G-Suite Training for their employees in both Ortigas and Cebu offices since last year. The G Suite Training was facilitated by Kollab, the premiere partner of Google in the Philippines. For 2020, CSB has already concluded their Ortigas training that was held last February 10 and 17 and will start their Cebu training this March 23. Each training session accommodates 30 employees per batch on a first come, first served basis.

The event allowed CSB employees to undergo a series of trainings. This lets the participants maximize the tools and learn the different features of G-Suite. True enough, weeks after training, CSB employees were able to deliver a much seamless workflow and were able to virtually collaborate with each other with the ease of using G-Suite.
