City Savings Bank during COVID-19

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, City Savings Bank (CSB) continues to serve its customers. On top of its branch services, the bank has also extended efforts to deliver banking services to the customers online continuously.

Since Metro Manila and selected provinces were placed under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) last March 15, 2020, City Savings Bank managed to respond quickly and focus on doing most of the work virtually. Non-essential employees were advised to work from home, while the essential employees continued to work in the offices and branches with extra precautions.

Virtually Building Capabilities

CSB continues to care for their employees by giving them different opportunities accessible online to build their digital capabilities. The bank was able to host Online G Suite training on Sheets, Sites, Slides, Pages, and Data Studio co-facilitated with a partner from Kollab Philippines.

The G Suite Online training gave the employees an overview of how they can maximize the different Google apps that can help them while working from home aligned with the bank’s transition to G Suite.

The bank also launched its Storytelling Certification Course, which encourages employees to share their different experiences, be it at home, in branches, or corporate offices. The program is a perfect avenue for employees to take their readers in their journey, upholding the organization’s values.

Different online certification courses were also offered to the employees to continuously develop their digital and virtual capabilities.

CitySavings Donate to Frontliners

City Savings Bank heeds to our frontliners by donating sanitation essentials to prevent the spread of the virus. Last April, City Savings Bank President and CEO Larry Ocampo personally dropped the donations at the Makati Medical Center. Sanitary kits, including alcohol and face masks, were provided to help the medical frontliners who are assisting COVID-19 patients.

The bank extended its helping hand by donating liters of alcohol and other sanitation essentials to their different partnered institutions such as Far Eastern University, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Employees Association (NCIPEA), The Medical City, and DepEd Eastern Visayas. This simple gesture of kindness makes CitySavings a reliable banking partner who is willing to give any help, especially during this difficult time.

Applauding the CitySavings Heroes

Every CitySavings Employee was able to commit to their assigned tasks. With the practice of digital delivery, they were able to process bank services online. For people reporting in Branches, strict compliance for safety measures was observed, and social distancing was strictly followed. The bank’s Loan Rangers also served as heroes for clients who weren’t able to visit the branches due to lockdown restrictions.

Clients from different parts of the country expressed their satisfaction on how simple and convenient to avail the bank’s products, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. A group of teacher-clients from Angono, Rizal extended their deep appreciation on how reliable the bank and its employees in assisting them, especially with the processes and releases of their transactions. It helped them ease their financial burden during this time.

Indeed, this situation is something every City Savings Bank employee should be applauded for. Their continuous efforts to help their customers during this pandemic make the whole organization proud for being simple, helpful, and reliable.
