This program started with the direction to encourage and enable learners of blockchain technology. In just one year, it has branched out to equipping educators through a mentorship program and is aligned with the Bank’s mission to power the future of banking in the Philippines by promoting financial inclusion and by creating products and services that will help tech up the country. To date, the program has partnered with the Singapore Management University, De La Salle University, STI, Asia Pacific College, and more.

EDTalks, was awarded a Silver Anvil as a Public Relations Tool and was recognized for providing an opportunity and a forum for UnionBankers and its leaders to discuss the company culture and the Bank’s journey towards digital transformation.

This program, which was launched as an internal communication tool for the implementation of the agile methodology across the Bank, became a regular and much-awaited talk show for the organization. Since its pilot, EDTalks aired a total of 27 episodes from 3 seasons.

These awards support and add to the distinctions the Bank has received from both local and international award-giving bodies. With the Best Digital Bank and Best Company to Work for in Asia attached to the company’s reputation, it continuously commits to engage employees and build capabilities on emerging technologies that will raise not only the bar in digital banking but also future-proof the workforce.
