UnionBank to Accelerate The Cloud Migration Process With AWS Tools

Over 200 attendees from UnionBank’s ITSG, InfoSec Office, Data Privacy, IT, and its subsidiaries were all-in to learn more about AWS tools and their role in the current Cloud Migration during an E-learning session held last June 29.
AWS Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect, Yash Acharya, led the 1-hour webinar tackling various topics from the planning and conducting the Cloud Migration Process.
One of the e-learning session’s highlights was the introduction of the Migration Hub, along with its benefits and features that would help accelerate UnionBank’s Cloud Migration Process.
“The migration hub would give you a clear picture of what migration process is complete / in progress as you continue your journey to the cloud,” said Yash.
Yash also showcased AWS’ data moving capabilities which can be done offline or online while ensuring network optimization with AWS Direct Connect, and Amazon S3 Transfer Acceleration.
In the final part of the e-learning session, Yash introduced the concept of a “lift-and-shift solution” in the form of MGN Migration.
According to Yash, this flexible, reliable, and highly-automated method aims to simplify and reduce the cost of migrating applications to AWS.
Just like the 5 previous e-learning sessions, it was capped off with a short quiz followed by a Q&A portion hosted by UBP’s, Learning and Development Head, Ms. Joanna Romero Wolf, along with Yash who answered all the questions from the attendees.
