September 7, 2024 – A team of 45 UnionBank volunteers from the Metro East Regional branches went to Sisipin Elementary School in Jala Jala Rizal to bring joy, donate, and spread knowledge on Financial Literacy.

The program started with a prayer, followed by an opening remarks by the school Principal, Edsel Bactindon who talked about the humble beginnings of the academy while expressing his gratitude and appreciation to UnionBank for choosing them as the beneficiary.

It was followed by Regional Service Operations Officer, Bon Belleza’s talk about UnionBank’s innovative products and financial solutions and how it can help them save money and manage their finances.

The volunteers then grouped the 50 students into smaller groups wherein the volunteers shared their knowledge on financial literacy, and topics on cybersecurity.

Senior Branch Ambassador, Mark Garon, was honored to be part of this GoBeyond Communities project, describing how fulfilling it is to do greater things and give back to their neighboring communities.
