UnionBank’s Vigan Branch is bridging the digital divide in education. The bank’s recent donation of two 55-inch Smart TVs to Pantay Integrated School is part of its UnionBank GoBeyond Communities (GBC) program, which aims to equip students in remote areas with essential technology.
The Smart TVs were a significant addition to the school’s ICT infrastructure, providing students with access to modern educational resources and tools. The donation was part of a broader initiative to equip the newly converted Pantay Integrated School with the necessary resources to prepare students for the upcoming school year.
UnionBank Branch Ambassador, Paul Vincent, expressed his satisfaction with the project’s success. “It’s truly heartwarming to see the smiles on the children’s faces,” he said. “The gratitude and appreciation from the community have been overwhelming.”
The beneficiaries of the donation expressed their sincere thanks to the UnionBank volunteers for their generosity. They emphasized how these Smart TVs would significantly benefit their children’s studies.
UnionBank’s GBC program continues to positively impact remote communities by providing essential goods and conducting financial literacy workshops. Through initiatives like these, the bank is helping to bridge the digital divide and empower individuals in need.
