UnionBank, Globe, launch E-Zero Waste Project

Last December 11, 2023, UnionBank’s Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD), Globe Telecom, along with the CSR & Sustainability team, Employer Branding team, General Services team, and Security Management team, launched the E-Zero Waste Project. This initiative aims to promote the proper disposal of e-waste, including broken smartphones, laptops, chargers, and unused cables.

The project launch, organized by the Bank’s HR subunits, OSHD, the Employer Branding and Employee Communications Team (EBC), and the Corporate Social Responsibility Team (CSR) marked the start of an on-going initiative to mitigate the improper disposal of E-waste.

OSHD’s Documentation Officer, Mike Minuluan expressed his appreciation to the various teams that made the launch possible, saying I appreciated the coordination among the OSHD Team, Security Team, and Sustainability team in organizing the program flow. 

 

The level of support from UnionBankers has been truly remarkable. It is evident in the high number of donations that we receive every week,” he ended. 

UnionBankers are encouraged to participate in this noble cause that promotes an eco-friendlier approach when it comes to disposing products.
