As a testament to UnionBank’s commitment to helping Filipino communities, employee volunteers from the bank’s Human Resources Department, along with the Benedictine Sisters of the Eucharistic King, visited Sitio San Roque Agham Road, Quezon City, last December 29, 2023, to distribute donations and gift packages to locals.

The volunteers received a warm welcome from the community, who were all appreciative of the volunteers’ effort to use their weekend to meet them.

The Benedictine Sisters prepared a wonderful medley of Christmas songs to entertain the volunteers and beneficiaries, spreading good vibes and the joy of the holiday season. This was followed by the distribution of basic goods, including exclusive UnionBank merchandise, canned goods, and more.

UnionBank Organizational Development Manager, Milcah Guitones expressed her joy saying, “It feels so good to be able to find time and spend time with the (Benedictine Sisters) other sponsors” she ended.

UnionBank Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Japhet Luistro, is also happy with the GBC activity’s outcome. He actively engaged with the locals, and helped the Benedictine Sisters during the distribution.

The GoBeyond Communities activity benefited up to a hundred people. However, UnionBank’s commitment doesn’t end there. Its employee volunteers, dedicated to ongoing support for neighboring communities, aim to make a lasting impact. UnionBankers will continue to donate and educate residents about financial management, empowering them for a better future.
