On November 5, 2023, 16 UnionBank Volunteers from the Metro West Region had a meaningful and joyful gathering at the House of Sarang to interact and bring joy to the children by playing games and donating food and other essential items.
The GBC beneficiary, House of Sarang is an accredited nonstock-nonprofit organization that caters to neglected and abandoned street children.
The volunteers were touched by the stories of how the young residents found their home at the facility. A short program followed, during which the volunteers watched as the children showcased their talents in singing and dancing.
Brother Andrew, representing the House of Sarang, expressed sincere gratitude for the food and school supplies donated. The volunteer house parents were amazed that a prestigious company like UnionBank of the Philippines, a private corporation, would extend such generosity and support to abandoned children.
As the day concluded, hearts were filled with warmth and gratitude. Witnessing the smiles on the children’s faces and hearing their stories touched the volunteers deeply. The House of Sarang became more than just a beneficiary, it also became a place of hope and joy for all involved.
This successful GBC Project would not be possible without UnionBank and its dedicated volunteer employees who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need, creating lasting memories of kindness and compassion.
