A Splash of Color and Joy: UnionBank’s Gift to China Town CDC

UnionBank Davao Magsaysay Branch employees, led by Senior Branch Ambassador Melissa dela Cruz, went to the China Town Child Development Center to donate playsets, food, and more.
The branch’s IT Engineer, Jason Javellana also helped assemble their desktop computers while other volunteers helped re–paint fences and their gate with white, red, blue, and yellow to restore the Child Development Center’s facilities.
The China Town Child Development Center head, Ms. Zenaida Gallardo expressed her gratitude to all the volunteers saying, ’Mura kog nag damgo. Dili ko katoo’ ’Tinuod na ba ni!’ which means that she cannot believe it is happening to their center twice. She even mentioned that when the volunteers approached her, she mentioned that the center could no longer accept toddlers since the slots were full. But to her surprise, their center became a beneficiary.
The genuine efforts poured into revitalizing the facilities extended far beyond their paint brushes and tools. They infused the China Town Child Development Center with a renewed spirit and brought boundless joy to every beneficiary touched by the warmth of compassion.
