“One person’s simple act of kindness can bring smiles and hope to those in need.”

On the morning of February 8, 2022, following an unfortunate event for the residents of Brgy. 8, Caloocan City, UnionBank Employee volunteers from the Digi BCM Group, set out to help those in need.

The volunteers organized a feeding program for the 500 beneficiaries who were all affected when the fire broke out.

The volunteers described the experience as heartwarminga feeling that arises when you witness firsthand the impact of your actions on others. As Maria Cristina, one of the volunteers shared, “I will never forget all the smiles and the happiness that radiated from their faces. It’s a memory that serves as a reminder that even small acts of kindness can touch numerous lives.”

This heartfelt story reminds us that through empathy, even a group of nine like-minded volunteers can create a positive impact to hundreds of lives.
