TIPS: Begin with the end in mind. Acknowledge that you must take the first step to get things done. Creating a plan or to-do list is just the beginning, committing, and acting takes the majority of your goal’s fulfillment.
TIP: To avoid that, always seek opportunities to complement your teammates’ skills to add value to the project.
TIP: Don’t be hard on yourself. Deliver early, get feedback, and apply the comments to improve your craft.
TIPS: Build a habit of organizing your workspace – start by doing it once a month, then once a week, and eventually end your day organizing it so you can look forward to a tidy space the next workday. You can also improve ergonomics by adjusting your chair to make sure that your elbow is bent 90 degrees, using a footstool if needed, and adjusting the monitor within arm’s length so you can work properly and comfortably.
TIP: When faced with a big project or a new task, don’t overthink, especially if there are other decision-makers involved. Just focus on the present and start before you think you’re ready. It’s okay to fail but learning faster is more important.
