Success is not built overnight. In order to work effectively and thrive with her team and the rest of the teams within UnionBank, Angel learned to adopt the agile ways of working and apply her communication strengths to bridge collaboration across various projects.
Angel’s started with UnionBank as doing tech-support. She was the go-to person when it comes to troubleshooting computer hardware in the branches. Known for her social skills and impeccable work ethic, she embodies the value of Ubuntu when it comes to collaborating with different teams and Magis, by going beyond usual in delivering the best solutions for her clients.
With these qualities and experience, she later on became the Unified Communications and Collaborations Officer and eventually led the Enterprise Communication and Collaborations Team that handles Contact Centers and Telephony platforms. Despite all the initial challenges in the new role, she boldly embraced it and worked at an agile pace, taking up courses on Microsoft Office 365 and approaching her mentors and other experts for much-needed guidance.

“Noong may pinakilala sa akin na Microsoft Office 365 expert, I tried to ask everything from that person and learned from them in order for me to do my job well,” said Angel.
“I am grateful for the overall working environment that we have and how we work as agile, because kahit sino, I can talk to. Let’s say I need help from this team, hindi ka maghe-hesitate mag-ask. All UnionBankers are like that.” She ended.
Angel leveled-up her career to become one of the most recognizable and approachable person in the Bank, delivering great results for every task and request that she and her team are handling.
