Ways of Working

How do we operate in an agile way?

We’ve developed a blueprint for how UnionBankers will operate in an agile environment. Our Agile Operating Model (AOM) covers the design for our interactions, ways of working, and governance.  More importantly, this operating model is designed to build the bank’s capabilities for the future.

We have cross-functional squads and teams from various chapters, empowered, self-organized, and agile to allow innovations to happen everywhere.  They collaborate towards fulfilling their customer missions. Squads are organized according to tribes of customer segments.

We have a strategic investments committee that evaluates the proposition and approves the funding. We have Centers of Excellence that focus on emerging capabilities and technologies. Several customer experience delivery channels bring our products and services to the customers, and a strong infrastructure of enablers supports the organization operationally.

What a fresh way to look at alignment and goal setting meetings for teams/squads! By doing scrums, a squad can find ways to support each other and become more accountable to the common goal.
