Safety Milestone: UnionBank Wins Presidential Award for Workplace Safety

On November 8, 2024, UnionBank’s unwavering commitment to workplace safety was recognized as the bank received the prestigious Presidential Award for achieving over 35 million safety man-hours without a work-related injury.
The Safety Organization of the Philippines (SOPI) honored UnionBank’s Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD) team for their relentless efforts in maintaining a 0% work-related injury rate.
UnionBank’s Safety Officers Mike Minuluan, Jayson Gabion, Joey Velasco and Alvin Banaga proudly accepted the award on behalf of the organization during the 56th National Industrial Safety Conference held at Century Park Hotel. The event brought together some of the country’s leading companies from industries such as power, construction, real estate, and more.
