UnionBank Achieves Historic Triple Win at 2024 BAA Badminton Tournament

UnionBank made history at the 2024 Bankers Athletic Association (BAA) Badminton Tournament, held from October 13 to 20 at Centro Athletico, Quezon City, claiming victories in the under 30, under 40, and under 50-year-old divisions, a remarkable feat and a first for the team.
OSHD Officer Mike Minuluan expressed the team’s gratitude, saying, “We offer this win to our primary sponsor, President and CEO Edwin R. Bautista, who has been a constant source of support throughout the tournament.” Bautista’s presence during the games uplifted the team and highlighting the bank’s commitment to fostering camaraderie and the core value, ubuntu beyond the workplace.
This triple victory adds to UnionBank’s impressive sports achievements for 2024. Earlier this month, on October 5, the bank’s football team dominated the Corporate Football League (CFL) 8v8 Cup, securing a commanding 10-0 victory in a series that saw participation from other top PH-based corporate teams.
