UnionBank volunteers visited Pagadian City Pilot School as part of the “Tulong sa Pampaganda ng Kalikasan Project,” where they donated grass cutters, wheelbarrows, claw steel rakes, broomsticks, bolos, and various gardening tools to a community with a population of over 2,500 individuals.
UnionBank Branch Manager, Aris Gemeniano, shared more details about the experience, saying, “The school principal, along with all the teachers, greeted us warmly. They’ve been keeping their school grounds clean, but they struggled because they didn’t have all the necessary equipment, like grass cutters, which they had to rent and wait for.”
“They were really thankful for the cleaning tools we provided through the GBC Project,” she added.
The program concluded with the distribution of donations, followed by a brief financial literacy talk by UnionBank Relationship Manager, Roger Alvarez. Afterward, volunteers and faculty members gathered for a simple lunch, fostering new and meaningful friendships among them.
