UnionBank Volunteers Spread Christmas Cheer to Children of Hacienda Teresita and Conchita

Last October 21, 2023, UnionBank volunteers embarked on a journey to Hacienda Teresita and Conchita, braving the challenging, slippery roads caused by the typhoon. This was a part of their GoBeyond Communities initiative, which showcased the employees’ dedication to creating positive change.
Despite the tough road conditions and stormy weather, the volunteers pushed through to reach their destination. Once there, they gave early Christmas gifts to the children by handing out special bags filled with essentials and treats. From rice to biscuits, juices, milk, energy drinks, and canned goods, these gifts lit up the faces of the young beneficiaries.
Their generosity extended beyond material gifts. Food was shared among the community members to foster a sense of togetherness, and the volunteers also organized games that sparked laughter and joy, creating cherished moments for the children. Adding to the lively atmosphere, the children showcased their dancing talents, entertaining the volunteers with intermissions.
This initiative didn’t just benefit over 50 children in these communities; it also embodied the true spirit of Christmas which showcased the compassion shared by everyone involved.
UnionBank volunteers coming to Hacienda Teresita and Conchita not only brought hope, joy, and a sense of community but also served as a reminder of the profound impact of simple acts of kindness.
