First impressions matter! Whether you’re a fresh grad or a new employee, you should always project the best version of yourself to increase your chances of success in your new work environment.
Here are 4 tips on how to make a good impression on your boss and your team.

Be Punctual and Professional
Dress professionally or wear your company uniform with pride.
Take it a step further by arriving 10 minutes or earlier at work.
TIPS:
Go to bed as early as possible. This will help you build a healthy sleep schedule.
If you need an hour to get ready for work and another hour for commuting. Get up 2 1/2 hours before your shift to ensure that you’ll arrive at work on time.

Communicate with your teammates
Get to know your teammates better. Know more about their interests, work habits, and listen to their stories to build rapport.
TIPS:
Names are very important. Remembering each of your team members’ names, including their roles, will most likely make them happy to work with you on future projects.

Take initiative on projects
Lending a helping hand will strengthen your manager’s impression of you because you took the initiative by volunteering/working on upcoming projects.

If you foresee imminent issues or needs for your department or team, don’t hesitate to speak up and share them with your manager. Sharing this information gives the good impression that you are open and a team player.
