DevSecOps Transformation With AWS

UnionBank, in partnership with AWS conducted an e-learning session
attended by over 140 UnionBankers from various teams to learn more about the DevSecOps Model in AWS Cloud.
Led by AWS Solutions Architect Damselle Acosta, the discussion revolved around the importance of culture, securing the bank’s infrastructure, the meaning of DevSecOps, and its use cases.

Highlighting the importance of culture change, Dams also talked about AWS’ way of changing how software developers think and work to become more efficient and deliver better business value to the customers.

Building a CCOE
Dams talked about the building blocks of a CCOE (Cloud Center of Excellence) while highlighting its importance in UnionBank’s goal to establish a modern software-building process.
Shifting Gears to DevSecOps since 2021
UnionBank started the new decade strong by introducing the “next level of transformation to its employees via DevSecOps. New roles like the Flow Master and the members of the Value Stream Teams (VST), namely, Storm and Venus, experienced the whole Service Delivery Pipeline in this new way of working.
